HOUSING APPLICATION CONTRACT

• The Housing Application is completed online via the Housing Portal. Once inside of the application, you will be able to select your room type and roommates!
• Once all of the steps of the application are completed, you will be asked to review and electronically sign the Housing Contract.
• When you electronically sign the contract, you are agreeing to the contract terms. It is very important that you read the entire contract and understand all of the terms and conditions. Feel free to review the Academic Year Housing Contract (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027) prior to accessing the Housing Portal.
• Upon completion and submission of the Housing Application and Contract, the student is contractually obligated to pay the cost of room and board.
• The housing contract is binding for the contract period which is the entire academic year (fall and spring semesters).
• After completing that step, you will be emailed a confirmation indicating that your contract has been signed.
• The university does not offer housing contracts by semester. However, an exception is made for new students, who enter in the spring semester.
• ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ also offers summer housing that runs from mid-May to mid-August.

HOUSING APPLICATIONS

AY 2026– 2027

• Fall semester: August 30, 2026 - December 20, 2026
• Spring semester: January 17, 2027 - May 11, 2027

For student residents living in on-campus housing for the Spring 2026 semester, the 2026-2027 housing application opens on March 9, 2026. 

For all other students interested in living in on-campus housing that do not live in on-campus housing for the Spring 2026 semester, the 2026-2027 housing application opens on March 15, 2026. 

Housing Deposit Waiver

If a student is experiencing financial difficulties, students may apply for the Housing Deposit Waiver which exempts students from paying the Housing Deposit. To apply for the Housing Deposit Waiver, students shall submit a request to the Financial Aid Services office who shall verify if the student is facing financial difficulties and the need for a Housing Deposit Waiver. If approved, the Financial Aid Services office will notify the Office of Residence Life of approval and the student will be contacted via email by the Office of Residence Life once the Housing Deposit Waiver has been applied to the Student’s Housing Portal. Once the student receives the email notice from the Office of Residence Life, the student can then continue through the remainder of the application process. To apply for a Housing Deposit Waiver, students can email the Financial Aid Services office at fas@roosevelt.edu. Please note that the Housing Deposit Waiver process can take between 5-10 business days. The Application Fee is not applicable for the Housing Deposit Waiver.

HOW TO APPLY FOR HOUSING

• Review the Academic Year Housing Contract (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027) prior to accessing the Housing Portal.
• Visit our ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Housing Portal
• Login using your ÀÏÍõÂÛ̳ Net ID and Password
• Once logged in you will have access to the housing applications

The housing application will remain open for each term until there is no more space available. If no housing is available, students will be placed on a waitlist. Students will be assigned to a permanent room as soon as one becomes available based on when their contract and deposit were received.

Priority Deadlines

Applications will continued to be accepted beyond the following dates. Students who apply by the priority deadline will be among the first group of students assigned a room selection timeslot. As we've experienced Waitlists in the past years, we strongly suggest students who are interested in living on campus apply sooner rather than later.

• Residential Students living on campus for Spring 2026: April 3rd by 12:00 PM
• New Residential Students: May 29th by 12:00 PM

HOUSING CONTRACT CANCELLATION REQUEST

A Housing Contract Cancellation Request is for those students who have signed a housing contract and are requesting to cancel that contract for a specific reason.

• The housing contract is strictly adhered to with exceptions made only under extenuating circumstances.
• The University will only release a student from contractual financial obligation for the reasons listed on the Housing Contract Cancellation Form.
• To review what documentation is required to cancel a contract go to the Housing Contract Cancellation Request link on the Housing Portal.
• Students, who wish to cancel their housing contract may do so by submitting a Housing Contract Cancellation Request form through the Housing Portal.
